Hello, my name is Kyle. I have Autism. I don't speak much, but I make delicious treats by hand with my mom! We call them Big Kyle's Little Truffles, because I'm a big guy making tiny delicate sweets. I hope these treats will brighten your day!
Spotlight
About Me
I'm 21 years old and living with Autism. My mother searched for a creative way to educate me through an activity I loved, something that would keep me connected to my family while continuing to develop my language and cognitive skills. Cooking was the answer.
At a very young age of three-years-old, I showed an interest in the culinary arts and spent time in the family's kitchen watching my dad prepare meals. I then began baking cookies and brownies with my mother and sharing those with teachers and classmates. Next it was onto making cookie truffles and I was delighted when everyone who tasted one, asked for more. And so, my culinary business, "Big Kyle's little Truffles" was born.
When asked how the name was chosen, my mom stated, “He's a big guy, making tiny delicate sweets"! We work very hard to make them the very best they can be, with love and happiness in every piece. I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them...one little truffle at a time!
The Process
It is our hope and dream that the business will grow and expand, offering many opportunities of employment for individuals with disabilities.
